4 night sejour in Istanbul + 10 days in Cappadocia.
Stay in the historical Sultanahmet area in an authentic ‘Old Istanbul’ hotel. From the hotel terrace you view the Bosphorus. From Istanbul fly on to Kayseri in central Turkey. Choose whether you wish to have a hire car waiting at the airport.. This is an excellent holiday choice for those who are not interested in a beach venue. Cappadocia is the perfect area for trekking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, hot-air ballooning, photography and sketching. Due to Cappadocia’s topographical setting Turkish villages have grown up around earlier troglodyte settlements; subsistence farming is practiced and the lifestyle is traditional. The local over-fifties still choose the donkey for transport !
With so many interests you will need a car for only half the time you are there, or just decide to join organized excursions.
